How it works

From scribble to invoice in three steps.

No templates to fill in. You give us the job the way you already have it, we lay it out properly, and you check it before paying anything.

01

Snap it, say it, or type it.

Give us the job in whatever form you have it:

  • Photo. Notes on paper, a whiteboard, the back of a receipt. Messy is fine as long as a person could read it. Get the whole page in the shot, in decent light. JPG, PNG, HEIC or WebP.
  • Voice. Tap the mic and talk through the job: who it's for, what you did, how long, what you charge. Uses your phone or browser's own speech-to-text (Chrome, Edge and Safari).
  • Typing. One line is enough: "Jen Alvarez, 5 dog walks at $25, poop bags $12."
02

Check the preview. Fix anything.

We pull out the customer, their address, the work (hours and rate, or a flat fee) and any materials with prices, then show you the finished document beside an edit form.

  • Anything listed without a price comes in at $0, so you can price it or delete it.
  • Add your business name and how customers pay you. With a free account, it's remembered for next time.
  • Add sales tax as a dollar amount. Rates vary by state and by what you sell, so you set it.
  • Switch between invoice and quote. Invoices are due in 14 days by default and quotes are valid for 30 days; change either.

The preview is free and watermarked. Nothing is charged until you choose to pay.

03

Pay $1 and send it.

Pay by card through Stripe, or use a credit if you have a free account. Then:

  • Download the PDF (US Letter size).
  • We email it to you, and to your customer if you added their email.
  • Your customer pays you directly, using the payment details on the invoice. We never touch your customer's money.
